Southern Regional Training | BSWC x Organizing Lab

This training, in partnership with the Black Southern Women's Collaborative and Organizing Lab, focuses on a 70-county Southern strategy developed by Black women-led organizations. The Southern Regional Training represents a strategic intervention to drive a crucial cultural transformation within Southern organizations. A core challenge is the lack of clarity about the definition and implementation of deep relational organizing, which is often conflated with metrics from modern-day traditional electoral organizing. This confusion is understandable, as organizations have historically been the successful vanguards in Southern electoral organizing and politics. The goal is not to abandon this effective and cultural identity, but to return to and strategically build upon it by integrating deep relational organizing principles. This too is our heritage!
