ISAIAH Weeklong Leadership Training

ISAIAH Weeklong Leadership Training encourages participants to reflect upon their experiences and what it means for them to be a leader in the public arena. Participants will engage with each other in a learning community that emphasizes self-reflection, introspection, and mutual inquiry.

REGISTRATION FOR ISAIAH LEADERS AND MEMBERS IS PRIORITIZED. If you are an ISAIAH leader, please proceed to registration. If you are interested in participating or sending participants from your organization to this training, please reach out to Alexa Horwart (ahorwart@isaiahmn.org) before registering.

At Weeklong Leadership Training, you can expect to:

• Learn more about yourself, your own stories, and your own motivations
• Develop the skill of learning the stories & motivations of others
• Create the capacity to draw other people to yourself in teams
• Wrestle with what it takes to create change in the public arena
• Engage in work that analyzes how power operates in public life
• Discover how to craft and lead effective action that wins real change for real people
• Learn about the dynamic field of community organizing & your role in creating powerful organizations
• Build the capacity to raise money to sustain organizations that are vehicles for making our vision a reality in the public arena
• Develop an analysis about racial equity and health as a frame for organizing work

WHERE

Kahler Grand Hotel (20 2nd Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902)

WHEN

Training begins at 7:00 pm on Sunday (check-in begins at 3 pm; please arrive at least an hour before). Training ends at 3:00 pm on Friday.

HOUSING

All rooms are double occupancy. Participants will share rooms.

TRAINING FEE

$800 for non-profit members; $1,000 for all others. Your training fee includes all meals, lodging, training, and materials. A limited number of scholarships are available. If you choose to make a deposit, your full payment is due one week before the start of training. Please note that parking at the Kahler Grand Hotel (not included) is $8.00 per day.
